This caught my eye because these choices always catch my eye. I wasn’t thrilled with my undergraduate school’s choices (I read Voltaire’s Candide for my Freshman year), not because they were terrible but because they never tried to invigorate the incoming student community.
I’ll be on the other side of things this Fall as I’m partly responsible for teaching the assigned book to my College Writing Seminar.
